It is estimated that we use 12 million barrels of oil a day! We send $700 billion a year to foreign energy producers. We provide revenue to our enemies, making them stronger, while weakening ourselves. There is no doubt that we face a serious problem. Our national debt grows, our energy need increases--eventually we will not even be able to afford to buy the energy we need. This is more serious than people want to admit. We have to fix this.
